At IFSMED, our physical therapy is focused on rheumatic diseases and helps those dealing with chronic inflammatory and degenerative conditions work toward an improved state of well being. Our intimate knowledge of common problems associated with rheumatic diseases offers unique and highly customized programs to IFSMED patients. These include high tech modalities such as class IV laser, shock wave therapy, computerized traction, therapeutic ultrasound and various forms of electro- and magnetic therapies combined with mechanical exercises such as stretching, core strengthening, gait and balance training as well as pilates.
Our physical therapist, Nicole Hill, and physical therapy aide, Lucia Targett, meet with you one-on-one to understand your needs and creates personalized sessions best suited to meet your goals.
Nicole brings extensive physical therapy experience to IFSMED. From 2001-2008 she was the manager of the Sub-Acute Rehabilitation program at Sharp Hospital where she gained experience helping those recover physically from traumatic brain injury, orthopedic injuries, stroke, breast cancer survivors. And from 2009-2010 she performed physical therapy at Rehab United specializing in vestibular rehab. She has her B.S. in Sports Medicine from Pepperdine University and her Master’s in Physical Therapy from Chapman University. She is certified in vestibular rehab—Tier I and II and pilates principles for physical therapy.
