Melissa Sullivan, NP, MSN
Melissa Sullivan, MSN has been a registered nurse for more than 10 years. Her nursing expertise ranges across the lifespan from the neonatal ICU to medical surgical IMCU and Hospice. She graduated from the University of San Diego in 2010 with her family nurse practitioner degree, and enjoys working in an environment that treats the whole person by integrating traditional and complementary practices as needed.
While working on her nurse practitioner degree at USD Melissa had the opportunity to do an independent study in the orthopedic clinic at the University of California San Diego where she gained experience in chronic conditions such as arthritis and osteoporosis along with sport and accidental injuries.
Upon graduating from USD Melissa worked as an NP at a local community clinic, there she began building the foundation for her practice. Melissa is now beginning her apprenticeship in Rheumatology as it aligns with fulfilling her career aspirations. She will be working closely with Dr. Shikhman as she completes her apprenticeship and will be available to see patients in between their visits with Dr. Shikhman as needed.
